Jay and Rhonda Kilgore have been happily married for over 10 years.
Years ago, Jay thought of professional photography as a dream, Rhonda on the other hand, saw it as something that was very attainable for Jay and encouraged him to follow his dream. With an Olympus CZ2100 2.11 DSLR type camera in hand, Jay set off to conquer the photography world.
A year or so later, with serious equipment and drive, Jay contacted the likes of David Hickey and Joe Edelman. Although both guys were across the country, their words of inspiration helped Jay focus his work on learning and helped him see the bigger picture. After searching the internet for places other than a school to learn photography, Jay found Art Ketchum Workshops eight hours away, one way, in Chicago, IL.
For better than a year, Jay made the drive starting on Friday, returning Sunday night after the workshop.
Through Art Ketchum's workshops Jay was able to take the information and knowledge Hickey and Edelman shared and put it together using the hands on learning and excellent instruction of Ketchum.
Today Jay is one of the state's most nationally published photographers and a photography instructor himself! The vision of Meeting of the Masters came one day when Jay figured it would be great to take all the guys who have been the most influential people in his photography life, and get them all together, of course, Rhonda was right there encouraging Jay along.
